how to get giada de laurentiis hair color + recipe.

{me + g, i'm a little distracted}
giada de laurentiis has a tiny little waist -- that's the first thing a room a beauty bloggers noticed when she walked in the room.  she overheard our chatter (probably because my whisper is more akin to the volume of a foghorn), and replied that her stays trim by following the popular motto "everything in moderation".  with that mantra in mind she shared her gluten-free, sugar-free dessert recipe for chocolate avocado mousse.  i've already made it twice this week, not sure how moderate that is, but i do love it.  i can see why the woman has her own cooking show!

giada also enjoys her role as a spokeswoman for natural instincts.  her usual color is toasted almond, but in this picture she's debuting the navajo bronze shade, a richer, darker hue for winter.  natural instincts is up to 32 shades, to view all the hues at clairol.com.

recipe for chocolate avocado mousse:
  • 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips, melted in a double boiler or slow-cooker, and slightly cooled
  • 4 very ripe avocados, peeled and pitted
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup agave
  • 1 tablespoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon fine salt
  • fresh raspberries, for garnish
combine ingredients (except raspberries) in the food processor.
blend until smooth and creamy.
spoon into glasses and refrigerate for 3 hours (or up to 1 day).
garnish with fresh raspberries, serve, and enjoy!
