beauty resolution: facials, at least once a season.

i think i only got 2 facials in 2012!  eek!  after my most recent trip to mario badescu, i remembered how much good a skilled facialist can do.  we are talking months of skin sin, erased.  i plan to get many facials leading up to my april 2013 wedding (maybe 4? 5?), and i've set a goal for myself to continue with facials at least seasonally from there on (or quarterly, if you follow the financial calendar).

here are 3 places i aspire to get a facial in 2013:

{the erno laszlo institute}
  1. the erno laszlo institute - is exclusive, old hollywood glamor set in the middle of soho NYC.  in early december i attended the  unveiling party of this glamorous space -- it's utterly deco, decadent and breath-taking.  the downstairs boasts a spacious laszlo boutique, and the upstairs is a members-only spa, under the professional direction of dermatologist scott wells.  his philosophy is all about boosting one's  "youth assets", and my youth assets could use some help.  with annual membership running $3,000, a visit to the institute is certainly a beauty lover's aspiration.
  2. caudalie spa at the plaza hotel - uses caudalie's wine-based french skincare line in their extensive face and body menu, all set at one of manhattan's most legendary addresses.  the estheticians are called vinotherapists, and i'm pretty sure i could always use more vinotherapy.  i'm also a fan of trying unique treatments, and their facial includes circulation-boosting massage with grapes.   sign me up.
  3. mario badescu spa - is a long-time favorite of mine -- and the place i trust most to get my skin into wedding day shape.  i plan on making MB my home away from home for the next 4 months.  i know the estheticians here pride themselves on prepping their brides for the big day, and i'm proud to be joining the ranks.
