sunbow sunscreen gets me to wear sunscreen.

i do not approve of the dora the explorer plastered on this bottle, but then again, this sunscreen was designed for children.

what i do like about this product is that it's pink (but dries to clear) and smells like bubblegum! i can be a real baby about wearing sunscreen (yes, i do know how important it is), so anything that makes it more delightful helps. i just hide the bottle in my beach bag and discretely spray the pink stuff on my skin with glee.

if you have an actual child, or you just behave like one when it comes to sun protection, check out sunbow. they also have a sponge bob themed sunscreen, but that one is blue and i prefer pink.

$9.99 at sunbow.com.

review: mama mio shrink to fit cellulite cream.

mama mio's shrink to fit cellulite cream works!, sort of.

if the goal is to smooth the appearance of cellulite for summer days at the beach, this is the product. it works, and even faster than it says it will. the directions say 30 days of use for maximal effects, but i started using it 3 days before going to the beach (because i have poor foresight) and was pleased with my results. a little bit of increased circulation and toxin reduction goes a long way.

note, once i stopped using the cream the cellulite came right back. this is not actual magic. if i wanted to totally banish cellulite i would need to take up exercise, a lot. no thank you.

shrink to fit cellulite cream is $56 at mamamio.com.

new: smashbox softbox eye shadow palette (via mara).

last night, the empire state voted to legalize same-sex marriage. while there are no plans at present to legalize marriage to a cosmetic product, i'm going to come out and declare my true love for the new smashbox softbox eye shadow palette ($48). much like the ideal husband, this slim, attractive palette offers variety (9 eyeshadow and 2 eyeliner shades) while remaining practical (colors are pretty but neutral, and unlike many palettes, it offers a brush that you'll actually want to use). plus, it comes with an eye shadow primer... a good marriage starts with a good foundation, no? you can see all my "likes" and "wants" (including the best lip plumper of all time) and declare your loves on smashbox's social shop website.

degree get into the move + promo code!

true story: years ago, i took a class about whether facebook could be used to motivate people to do physical activity by offering rewards and support - and i thought this was hilarious. how could spending more time on the computer promote fitness?!d but in the age of mobile phones that seems a lot more reasonable, and degree created exactly what my professor envisioned.

degree's get into the move gives facebook users points for logging their fitness activities, entering codes (which can be found at many gyms or on degree display at many local drug stores) and using keywords in their statuses, amongst many other things. prizes include ipods, designer shoes, and gift cards -- or points may be donated to two charities - the challenged athletes foundation or girls in the game. to get a full list of how to earn points and what prizes are available visit facebook.com/degreewomen.

i'm kind of in love with this idea. this is great excuse to check-in to every place you go gratuitiously, you over-sharer you!want some free points to start you off? enter the promo code "GetMoving008" for a few bonus points.

new: schick quattro for women disposibles with scented handles.

this is delightfully clever. rather than adding another blade to switch up their newest razor, schick has done something totally novel with their disposable - a scented handle!

currently available in raspberry rain and hypoallergenic aloe, the razors come with the now mandatory 4 blades, plus two moisturizer strips. since there are moisture strips and a scented handle, seems like shaving gel can be taken out of the equation, though i haven't given them a try yet, so don't blame me if you nick yourself.

available nationwide, $7.39 for a three pack.

obsession: crabtree + evelyn drawer liners.

let's be real, crabtree and evelyn drawer liners are the hotness.

their sketched botanical aesthetic fits in to my apartment's stylo, plus they smell good and more importantly, make everything around them smell good. they are my newest lingerie drawer must-have. tip: remove drawer from dresser, flip upside down and line paper up with one corner to determine exactly what size and shape to cut to.

available in lavender, lily of the valley, iris, nantucket briar, summer hill, and rosewater. right now i'm all about rosewater because i have my eye on all things with a middle eastern feel for summer 2011. $23 a roll at crabtree-evelyn.com.

not in the mood to deal with for drawer paper but still want a decorative and delightfully scented touch in your drawers? just pop one of crabtree and evelyn's nine heritage soaps in the drawer - the beautiful paper wrapper and subtle scent offers an instant pick-me-up. my preferred scent is almond milk and honey. $8 a bar at crabtree-evelyn.com.

review: covergirl lip perfection lipcolor.

it hasn't been a good week for retaining my beauty products. yesterday i wore my new covergirl lip perfection lipcolor in temptress and my colleague demanded i give it to her! i can has my things?!

however, i can see why she wanted it - the color is a vibrant, cool summer pink and the formula is super long lasting. what she doesn't even know about lip perfection lipcolor is it's claim to fame is it's moisturizing benefit. the line contains silk therapy moisturizing complex - which is a combination of hydrating ingredients - so that the lipstick improves your lip within 7 days of use. the other thing i'm keeping from her is my favorite shade, kiss. i don't normally go for brown lippies, but this soft caramel shade makes me feel like a bronze goddess.

no matter which shade you chose, this super pigmented lipcolors just made your lips look so dressed. at a suggested retail price of $6.50 you can't do better.
