MAC's future earth exfoliator.
2008 has been a revolutionary year for MAC's skincare. skincare was previously seen as this color-centric company's weakness, but all their 2008 skincare collections have been a huge hit, and i think their most recently released future earth is their best skincare idea yet. the line is made up an exfoliator, a mask, a lip refinisher and a charged water all containing volcanic ash from an active volcano in the south pacific. why is this a great idea? because sulfur and other minerals concentrated in volcanic ash have a long history of being therapeutic for the skin.
having just used the volanic ash exfoliator in the shower, i can attest to its marvelous properties. the best of these properties being that there is something incredibly thrilling about slathering one's skin in dark, inky ashen material. it's like being a kid who gets to play in the mud (in fact, quite similar to this). doing so put me in a great mood and it left my skin smooth, soft and refreshed. though it claims to be for face and body, i prefer it as a body treatment.
oh, and at $19 a jar, i'd say it's a steal. as you know, hit up maccosmetics.com or your local MAC counter to get in on the fun.
