To myself, of course! I've never had Prescriptives makeup in my entire life. I deserve it because 2007 has been very hard for me (I should have been in a medical school right now but my parents could not afford the tuition fee). I soo need something to make me happy and feel special. :)

I would give this to my sister; my embarrassingly makeup-free sister, who saw it in a magazine and pronounced it the most "un-scary" of all the 'shimmer squares' out there. I will have to wrestle her to the floor to get it on her face, but dangit, I'm committed to beauty!!

this will make the perfect present for me since it was my 25th birthday 2 days ago, which is also your half-birthday! but the main reason is that i'm a huge fan of bronzer/blush (as you've seen it on my face almost every time you see me!) because i love highlighting my cheeks and contouring my non-existent cheekbones, so i would definitely use this practically every day! my face would feel naked without it ;-)

thanks!

For my overworked mother who is turning 60 next week. She raised both my sister and I to be strong women, and now I want to give her the gift of pampering.

I would give it to myself! I used to be a tanning bed and sun addict and this year for my New Years resolution I swore off both, and slathered on the sunscreen every day and each time outside. My skin and health I know will thank me and I am proud to have kept a resolution for the FIRST TIME but my skin is so pale and dull! This would be the best treat to congratulate myself for committing to my future and health, and to look a little less as though I was locked in a closet for all of 2007. Heck, it may inspire others who see my glow to see one can get it without sun damage!

I would give this to my mother. She has had a very hard year full of ups and downs (mostly downs). She started the year with a high-risk pregnancy, gave birth to my little brother two months early. He was in NICU for 28 days and now she rushes him around to all of his appointments and is now out of a job. She absolutely love our family and sacrifices a whole lot for us and now especially for baby Justin.

I would give this to my mother. She never, ever purchases high end cosmetics for herself. I would love to be able to give her this great product from such a high-quality company like Prescriptives. It would be a great luxury for her.
Thanks so much for the giveaway!

I think it would make a great gift for my soon to be sister in law (I'm engaged), because she is pregnant, and I know how hectic it has been for her to buy anything for herself. I think it would make the best gift for her. I think that this would illuminate her tired face, and make her gorgeous cheekbones pop like no other.

Great contest girl!

I would give this gift to myself because 11 months ago I finally finally finally gave up drugs. It's been a rough year emotionally and physically. I gained too much weight, I got acne but I am clean and so proud of myself. mickandalison@gmail.com

This would be a great gift for my best friend who always has had problems with her skin. She has helped me and my family through a rough time this year and I would love to be able to surprise her with this as a gift. Happy holidays and thank you for the opportunity.

Great giveaway!

I would donate the fabulous makeup to our local women's resource center. This facility helps women who have found themselves in crisis pregnancy situation and encourage them to keep the babies or consider adoption. Many of these woman just need support and love. They are helped tremendously by the donations of others.

This makeup would help a woman feel better about herself and be able to 'spruce' herself up if needing to go on a job interview.

I love makeup...that's why I came to this contest, but I have more than I need and feel it would be fabulous to donate this to someone who could use it.

Thanks for the opportunity! :)

i would give it to my extremely (makeup) conservative mother who believes makeup only entails of ten lb of foundation and lipstick. i think that this could add a touch of color (or life) to her whitened skin (from excess of foundation) :) (sorry mom but you need this. and i need a xmas present for you)

I certainly can't beat Pennies in my Pocket's reason, but I'd love to give this to my mom.

She never buys herself makeup; she only buys what she needs from Lancome or Estee Lauder when they give gifts so that she can get a new lipstick, blush or shadow. I'd love for her to have something that's as beautiful as this face illuminator. It'll give her complexion a wonderful glow, AND it's something that's limited edition that she can have without waiting for a GWP.

Thanks so much for this giveaway! But I gotta say, you've got a tough task at hand!

Happy Holidays :)

I think I deserve this makeup because menopause is a bear! I'm 48 (I know, way to young) and feel 28. Unfortuately, my body only believes the calendar! Between night sweats, hot flashes, insomnia and black cohosh supplements, I rely on makeup to create the illusion of youth. And it works. But just imagine how much better it would work with this gift!

I would give it to my 14 yr. old daughter who is just beginning this wonderful journey in to make-up and beauty products. Teenagers are always so unsure of themselves and their make-up choices and I feel this would be a wonderful product for her to try.

If I win this beautiful illuminator I am going to give it to a girlfriend, who just came out of a very abusive relationship & actually wound up in a domesic violence shelter for a while. She just got her own place & is going job hunting soon. This compact would make her feel so good about herself, I would love to help empower another woman.

i would give this to my friend that loves makeup but is so clueless about it, yet she has a mini collection at home that she never uses. anyway she's always too freaked out that makeup would look weird on her and everything and i know she wants to use something because she has acne scars, and if this illuminator could light up her face i'm sure she'll be alot more confident. besides, illuminators are foolproof =p

To my close friend.

She looks beautiful, of course, but her skin looks dull and flat. Besides, if I gave her an expensive gift like this, I can bully her into actually using some makeup!!

I would give this to myself! I am pregnant with identical twin boys and have been on bedrest since Thanksgiving. They are due in February and I'm starting to feel not-very-pretty. I could use a little make-me-up pick-me-up. Even if my husband is the only one to see it. :)

To my friend. She's having a bit of a tough time with her finances and living alone. Recently she hasn't had much money even for food so she doesn't spend money on any luxuries, including makeup. Well really she doesn't need a lot of makeup since she has excellent skin but what girl doesn't like makeup right? And it'll be something expensive and luxurious like Tiffany jewellery. It might not be necessary but it makes one feel better nonetheless. So I'd like to give it to her, in support of and for her, and to make her feel better in tough times.

I would gift this to my sister. Shes been battling her weight for years and finally shes reaping the results over 40lbs lost since the summer with LA weight loss. But during her larger times she never pampered herself. She never shopped for cute clothing, shoes, bags, accessories let alone beauty products. Now shes finally finding her outer beauty as well and I can't wait to start introducing her to the grand possibilities... So far her only makeup purchase was a tinted moisturizer from MAC bought just this month. And at 23 yrs old she MUST expand her collection, she doesn't even own a mascara of her own! While I have at least 5, that shows the extreme differences between us.

I hope she wins this!

This would be an amazing gift for my MOM. My mom is so loving and giving, yet she never buys herself new makeup. She is stuck in the 80's with bad blue shadow and frosted lipstick. I think that she would enjoy something not from the drugstore. I bet she would even share it with me :)

Maria said...

I would give one to myself and if i won another to my best friend(or we could share) in the whole world who i am moving in with in boston, recent grads and we are young broke and fabulous and its going to be damn cold, and we both need a little color to brighten our days in these cold winter months

I would definitely be giving them away as presents. I have a ton of makeup, and haven't been able to do any holiday shopping yet -- as I've been holed up in a library for 12 hours a day since the first. I'd love to give it to two people that definitely don't need makeup to look their best.. but it'd be nice if they could understand my obsession.

I would give one to my best friend that's going to Quebec for 8 months. I'm not going to be able to see her for the longest time -- and chances are she'll need something to give a tan to her sun-starved cheeks.

As for the second one, I'd give it to my sister who has trouble using blush and bronzer to begin with.. so having it all in one happy package will take away at least half of the guess work.

I'd give it to my mom who doesn't wear that much makeup, but is so into her skin now that its aging. I guess she just wants that radiance or glow she used to have in her youth, I see her using drug store brands all the time because she can't spend the $$$ on the dept store brands. maybe this little powder will make her happier somehow.

I would give it to my sister. She LOVES makeup and spends so much time making sure she looks just perfect.

My mom would love this. She's stuck in a make-up rut, and I think this will be just the thing to get her out of it. After working 10 years as I waitress she decided to go back to school to better herself and become a psychologist to help soldiers returning from Iraq with PTSD. After Christmas she'll be finishing her final semester. I always attempt to get her to try new skin care, (she doesn't even use moisturizer!!!), but fail. Maybe something as pretty and fun as this will get the ball rolling! :)

I would give this makeup to my Mother. She is the backbone of our family, single mother working two jobs to provide everything thing she can without complaint, having had a hard life, and going thru an ugly divorce from a abusive relationship, she has remained strong thru it all and yet always kept a positive attitude, I know no one deserves it more than her. & No one will appreciate it more.

thank you.

I would love to win this for my friend who is really, really down on her luck. She is a single parent with two small children, she recently had neck surgery and is in constant pain. To add to that, she has NO MONEY, and this is going to be a very rough holiday for she and her family. I'm sure this set would brighten her day.

I would give this to my sixteen year old daughter. I have been dilligently "training" her in make-up application for the last year or so. She usually looks great and this would help her to look even better. She doesn't have much time in the morning and I think it looks pretty foolproof.
