skin md natural.

upon returning last nite from my fantastic floridian vacation (and after a whole summer of running around barefoot on the beach), my feet were beat!(rhyming doesn't suit me, does it?). at any rate, i slathered my dry feet in skin md natural and preceded to unpack. normally in a dry skin situation i would use the all-powerful aquaphor, but aquaphor gets slippery and is just not practical for the feet. skin md natural has a lighter, lotion-like texture, but has the healing power of aquaphor! it absorbs into skin very quickly. it is described as a shielding lotion, because it creates a barrier between your skin and environmental contaminants. the bottle recommends to apply every few hours on dry skin, so i reapplied before going to bed. my feet could already win the ribbon for most improved. there is no more white crust on them (am i telling you too much here?) and only the heel still feels a bit rough. plus its hypoallergenic, free from animal testing and all that good stuff.

and because i hate when people rave and rave and don't tell me where to get my hands on something, its available online here and in many pharmacies, check the store locator.

This sounds like just what I'm looking for. I’m an artist and find that the oils and solvents I use are always drying my hands out and leaving them dry, cracked and sore. This definitely sounds worth a try, especially as it’s non greasy and lasts so long. It’s been getting some good press too and is worth checking out - Skin MD Natural in the UK. It uses a new advanced scientific proprietary formulation which, apparently, has a moisturizing factor 6 times greater than glycerin, the standard humectant (water absorber) against which all others are measured. It is a shielding lotion which bonds to the skin to keep the irritants out, moisture in and protects the skin in a way a normal moisturizer can’t. Well worth a look.
